Bacteriostatic water, also sold as reconstitution solution or BAC water: laboratory-grade sterile water preserved with 0.9% benzyl alcohol, which allows a sealed vial to be accessed multiple times over an extended window without microbial growth. It is the standard solvent for bringing lyophilized research compounds back into solution for laboratory handling, and the reason a 10mL vial serves several research vials rather than one. Plain sterile water carries no preservative and is single-use once punctured; the benzyl alcohol is what buys the 28-day window. Supplied in 10mL and 3mL multi-use vials. This is a laboratory reagent, not Bacteriostatic Water for Injection USP, and like everything in this catalogue it is supplied for research use only.

Storage
Store at room temperature away from direct light. Once the stopper is punctured, the benzyl alcohol preservative maintains the solution for up to 28 days.
Directions
Draw the required volume and direct it slowly down the wall of the peptide vial. Swirl gently to dissolve — do not shake. Discard 28 days after first puncture.
